Day Hacklopedia of Beasts: As it is, I feel at least a little irritated at paying twenty bucks for what amounts to a book full of tables. Over a hundred pages of this page book are taken up by tables. Hacklopedia of Beasts, so inspiring, I brought out my wand. Inside is equally inspired.
The actual rules section of the book takes up only 32 pages. Instantly, I was inspired and feeling the wonder of the possibilities. So how compatible is it with 3rd Edition? The system is easy to use and, as you might expect, can even be a little silly.
Hacklopedia of Beasts: Monster Matrix
With the amount of text and tables on each page, the images supplement rather than turn the entries into a distracting mess. Most variants are divided into a number of subcategories. The cover painting depicts the final fate of the hapless Halfling torch bearer that survived the previous eight volumes. I already liked the Hacklopedia without opening. And who knows, I may even look into picking up the Hackmaster game proper.
The rest of the book is taken by tables. Of course, I may have an odd sense of humor and probably find the Giant Goat entry far more amusing than it deserves.

So, if you are looking to jazz up some of your monsters or just complete your collection of HoBs, you should definitely pick up the Monster Matrix.
